Bret The Hitman Hart Returns To The Ring This Month

Bret Hart was one of the most popular and talented wrestlers circa '90s wrestling era. He's earned the title "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be". After surviving a stroke, Bret is back in the WWE to wrestle WWE CEO Vince McMahon in Wrestlemania 26.

Bret has been vocal about his feelings for Vince McMahon since the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997 where the controversial ending to the Bret Hart-Shawn Michaels match made Bret's last match in the WWE an unmemorable and anti-climactic one. Apparently, Sharn Michaels, Vince McMahon and the referee Earl Hebner were all in cahoots and were determined to have Bret Hart defeated by hook or by crook that night.

After releasing a book and a video about his thoughts and side of his entire career leading up to the screwjob incident, Bret has finally come back to settle his score with Vince McMahon in a match come Wrestlemania.

Bret may not be as agile as he was before, but McMahon isn't really the best of wrestlers too. So expect this match to be a sluggerfest at the start and perhaps Bret will put McMahon in a sharpshooter to add insult to a predictable win.

It's nice to see Bret lace up again in his popular pink-gear ring attire and walk the ramp to ringside for the fans to cheer him on one more time. Go Bret !

Monday Night Wars Are Back

Over a decade ago, Monday nights were wrestling nights and the viewers had 2 options to watch: WWE Raw is War or WCW Nitro.

WCW dominated the ratings for several months in a row with ex WWE wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall in addition to WCW's own roster with top talents like Goldberg, Sting, Lex Luger, The Big Show, the Luchadores.

The craving for ratings from each circuit elevated the entertainment as both WWE and WCW needed to dominate the ratings to outdo the other. It came to a point where both were resulting to dirty tactics like WCW announcing WWE results even before WWE would air.

Unfortunately, the demise of WCW came as WWE took back the number 1 slot for Monday night wrestling. As a last blow to WCW, WWE bought WCW ending competition.

Fast forward to 2002. Jeff Jarrett, a wrestler who worked with both WWE and WCW in the past, founded TNA Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The wrestling promotion slowly climbed its way up to become a popular source of wrestling entertainment. Innovative developments like the introduction of the 6-sided ring, an X Division championship, and introducing young fresh talent greatly helped the company rise to mainstream status.

The boldest move of TNA to date is the announcement of TNA president Dixie Carter of its move to Monday nights starting March 8, 2010, going head to head with WWE. Never again has the WWE gained competition until now where the fight for ratings will be head on between WWE and TNA.

Hulk Hogan, Macho Man

TNA has several ex WWE and WCW wrestlers on its roster like Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Mr. Anderson, Jeff Hardy, RVD, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Sting, Team 3D, Taz and a whole lot more.

Sit back and relax cause Monday Nights are gonna be another round of remote-control swapping and comparision.

RVD is Back !

Mr. Monday Night, Mr. Pay Per View, Mr. Money in the Bank, The Whole Effin Show, Master of the Rolling Thunder... whatever you want to call him, Rob Van Dam is back on primetime wrestling.

RVD made is debut appearance on TNA last March 8, 2010 on Impact just when TNA has permanently moved to Monday nights to go up head to head with WWE Raw.

RVD was one of the greatest highlights for TNA's Monday debut as he had last appeared on WWE at the 2009 Royal Rumble. He had made his TNA transfer no secret as he posted it on his official website.

As a new addition to TNA, RVD has a new entrance video and theme. The green background is composed of Japanese characters whose animation is a bit similar to The Matrix with the RVD text in a Japanese-like font in the foreground.
